GHOST TOWNS
New Mexico Ghost Towns
Ghost towns are a thing of the past, and its unfortinate! Very few people actually realize the history and importance of these ghost towns not only in my home state New Mexico, but all over the United States. These historic towns are deteriorating as we speak. Lets try to restore these ghost towns and the history they share before they vanish forever.

Behind the Scenes Of My Website
My reasons for exploring New Mexico's ghost towns grew out of practical curiosity. A ghost town, in my opinion, is a town brought to life for a specific reason. It didnt matter what the reason was, mining, the railroads, or just to settle down and take advantage of the ranching and farming, the town would prosper and some event or turning point causes it to decline. But not neccessarily to die. I went in search for ghost towns and discovered that most of New Mexico's ghost towns are still alive. A few in fact, are downright lively.
The purpose of this website is to get anybodys attention who has an interest in this amazing history. I strongly suggest visiting a ghost town to get the full affect of what once was a town over one hundred years ago. It is breath taking that words can only wish to explain. These ghost towns are here for us to enjoy, so take full advantage. But please, as I always have, respect the land and the history. PLEASE DO NOT vandalize what is left of these towns!
